At First We Thought He Was Making Dinner, But This Is So Much Better

Leave this one out of a salad.

In the Gifu prefecture of Japan is a small town called Gujo Hachiman. Gujo Hachiman has a very interesting claim to fame: it's the town where the creation of wax and plastic foods for restaurant displays has become an art form. One shop, Iwasaki Mokei, has been open since 1932 and claims to supply half of Japan's wax food displays.

The second half of this video shows one artisan creating a cabbage. Notice the extraordinary realism he creates. It even cuts like a real cabbage.

More "food" from Gujo.

Looks good enough to eat.

Japan's most famous export accompanied by more Gujo masterpieces.
