Here's Nick Hardwick. He Just Retired From The NFL, But You Won't Believe What He Looks Like Today.

"I have no chance to hold it together."

On February 4, Pro Bowl center Nick Hardwick retired from the NFL and the San Diego Chargers due to a neck injury sustained in Week One.

The early season injury caused the former center to undergo one of the most miraculous NFL body transformations seen. In just five months, the ex-lineman dropped an incredible 85 pounds, making the once buff, bearded center, looks like a GQ model straight off the runway.

Don't believe us? Just take a look at the before and after pictures.

This is Hardwick (left) about two years ago:

According to ESPN, Hardwick had a playing weight of 304 pounds.

Now, this is Hardwick just before the new year:

Hard to believe that is the same person, huh?

Jaw-dropping transformation aside, Hardwick was a beloved teammate.

Many were sad to see Hardwick go, including his quarterback Philip Rivers, his safety Eric Weddle, Head Coach Mike McCoy, General Manager Tom Telesco, Chairman of the Board and President Dean Spanos and several other teammates.

During the press conference, Rivers, who resembles an army captain or G.I. Joe, had to hold back tears.

"I pretty much have no chance to hold it together," said Rivers at the conference. "I think I speak for every teammate... we'll really miss Nick the football player, but we'll miss Nick the person... the most..."

Here's to you, Nick Hardwick. We're excited to see what comes next for you.
