Moms Tweet About Why They're Voting — And Early Childhood Education Is A Big Reason

Nailed it.

If turnout for the 2012 presidential election was any indication for 2016, then women will comprise the majority of voters once again. Mom voters in particular will be sought after by both major campaigns this year, and it's pretty clear that there's at least one issue that many are agreed upon.

A recent survey commissioned by Save The Children and Shriver Media found that 83 percent of moms would support a candidate who expands access to and improves the quality of early childhood education. Similarly, the majority of both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump supporters also want to improve early childhood education accessibility and affordability.

On Wednesday, nonprofit Moms Rising hosted a Twitter chat about this subject, and so many moms participated that the hashtag #MomsVote was trending.
