Misty Copeland Has Been Cast in Disney's New 'Nutcracker' Film Project

This movie's gonna be on point(e).

Misty Copeland is having a big year.

In 2015, her life — and history — changed forever when Copeland became the first African American female principal dancer at the American Ballet Theater, but that was just the beginning.

Since ringing in 2016, Copeland has been interviewed alongside President Obama and  immortalized in Barbie form. NBD.

Now, she's joining the cast of Disney's new movie, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. Copeland broke the news on her Instagram, writing: "I'm thrilled to be a part of this amazing project with Disney and the wonderful Lasse Hallstrom [the film's director]."

Copeland will play the lead ballerina in the live action film's sole dance sequence. According to her post, fans can expect even #MoreToCome from the prima ballerina.

What that means is anyone's guess. Considering she's done more in the past six months than most people do all year, if anyone can tiptoe-top herself — it's Misty Copeland.
