How many belongings do you own?
Count up all of your clothes, your accessories, your kitchen gadgets, and your bathroom toiletries, and you may have only just scratched the surface of your stuff. But for one man practicing minimalism in Japan, counting his belongings is easy.
Fumio Sasaki owns only 150 items, including his wardrobe: three shirts, four pants, and four pairs of socks.
And according to a video for AJ+, Sasaki's lifestyle is inspired by traditional Zen philosophy. He explains:
"It's not as though you feel satisfied after collecting a certain amount of stuff. Instead, you keep thinking about what you're missing. Now I feel content with what I have."
