Artist Imagines What Would Happen If Makeup Actually Did What It Said It Does

There's probably not a single woman out there who hasn't experienced a makeup disaster at least once in her life.

Whether it's bronzer that made them look like they just walked offstage at Cirque du Soleil, or eyeliner that got totally out of hand, the struggle is universal and very real.

But these illustrations by Megan Nicole Dong remind us we don't have to take it so seriously. Dong, a DreamWorks Animation story artist and self-proclaimed shark-loving sketchbookaholic, calls her hilarious series "Cosmetics Comics."

In the series, Dong takes the literal meaning of a given product's name and exaggerates it to the point where applying it gives people seemingly supernatural powers, like flying or incredible strength.

Take a look at some of her works below.

A pushup bra can work wonders.

"I'll apply just a teensy weensy bit more."

Mustache wax turns every bit of hair on your body into a mustache.

Cover up, please.

Lash-strengthening mascara puts abs on your lashes.

The latest trend: back-breaking brows.

Up, up and away.

All the feels.

Ombré. Ombré everything!

Currently, Dong is working on "Pretty Time," a book that will compile all of her incredible comics in printed form.
