Stunning Film Captures Underwater Images At High Levels Of Magnification

Look beneath the surface.

"...Meanwhile..." is an incredible short film that captures underwater coral life and marine animals, intensely magnified through time-lapse technology. It's set to release later in 2015.

According to the filmmaker, Sandro Bocci's, Vimeo page, Bocci is "addicted to analogic special effects," looking at nature through different scales and movements; presenting it to the world in one of the most fascinating, dynamic ways we've seen.

Check out some of these amazing images from the film.

The beauty of underwater life reminds us that it's worth protecting.

Luckily, there are numerous organizations dedicated to conserving coral life and the overall health of our oceans, including The Nature Conservancy, The Ocean Campaign and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

According to NOAA, coral reefs:

...are threatened by an increasing range of impacts including pollution, invasive species, diseases, bleaching, and global climate change. The rapid decline and loss of these valuable, ancient, and complex ecosystems have significant social, economic, and environmental consequences in the United States and around the world.
