You'll Never Guess How This Artist Makes These Intricate Works Of Art

So beautiful.

Remember when you were little and you would cut out snowflakes using only paper and scissors?

Well, artist Maude White has taken that same idea to the extreme. She uses a surgical knife to very precisely cut intricate designs into paper.

"When I cut, the thin membranous material reveals its strength to me. No matter how small my cuts [are] the paper holds," White says on her website. "I feel that there are very few things in the world as reliable and constant as paper. Paper is everywhere and it has been telling stories for centuries."

White draws out her artwork first. Then she makes thousands of tiny cuts.
