You Might Not Want To Buy Another Barbie Doll Ever Again After Seeing These Photographs

Say goodbye to your knuckles, Ken.

WARNING: Graphic content.

When we picture Barbie, we imagine an adorable, innocent little fashionista who couldn't hurt a fly. But it looks like doll photographer Mariel Clayton had other ideas.

She wanted to show there are two sides to every story. One of them apparently being pretty dark and messed up...

Clayton reimagines Barbie as a serial killer, working out her aggression towards her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Ken.

Look closely. The devil is in the details.

"I'm not a man-hater, I wasn't abused as a child, I'm not 'dark' or 'disturbed' or 'mentally scarred'... I just find certain things funny," Clayton writes.

Her subversive scenarios place Barbie in normal day-to-day situations...

... infused with carnage, horror and revenge.

And even if Clayton's images should be kept far, far away from children's eyes, we must admit they are pretty impressive works of art.

Her elaborate backstories make these photographs look like scenes from the real world, not the plastic one.
