A Man In A Wheelchair Fell Onto The Tracks. 2 Fellow Commuters Rescued Him.

When being a good Samaritan saves lives.

A 54-year-old man drove his electric wheelchair off the platform in a Washington, D.C. subway on Tuesday, according to a local CBS affiliate

Without hesitation, two strangers jumped down to help rescue the man from the tracks. Luckily, there were no trains in sight at the station at the time of the incident. The strangers' quick response may have saved his life, and certainly was one of those rare, amazing moments of shared humanity.

It's unclear why the man drove onto the tracks, but the Washington Post reports that he escaped with only minor injuries. You can watch the surveillance footage of the incident below.
