Madeline Stuart, Model With Down Syndrome, Looks Stunning On NYFW Runway

"...this is about changing the world, this is about creating inclusion..."

By now you may have already heard of Madeline Stuart — The beautiful model from Brisbane, Australia with Down syndrome.

After her mother Rosanne posted a few photos of the teen on Facebook, the images went viral, putting Madeline in the spotlight. Since then, she's taken the fashion world by storm, becoming the first model with a disability to be the face of cosmetic company Glossigirl

And just this month she strutted her stuff on the runway for York Fashion Week (NYFW). Photographer Erica Nichols captured some fun moments of Madeline on and off the runway, looking fabulous. See some of the photos below:

In a press release document for the NYFW event, Roseanne writes that her daughter is "the first professional adult model with Down syndrome in the world, and is actually supporting herself doing it."

But it's not just about the fashion...

Roseanne adds: "...this is about changing the world, this is about creating inclusion, stopping discrimination and breaking down those walls of confinement. Modeling is just the vehicle that is letting us do it."

Just this week, photographs of two-year-old Connie-Rose Seabourne went viral, as this toddler with Down syndrome has already landed two modeling contracts.

We hope Madeline continues modeling, and doing what she loves!
