Hate is the feeling most often associated with stretch marks. We're taught to be ashamed of them, cover them up and try to get rid of them with creams that claim to make them invisible after several tubs.
A new viral campaign is asking women to think differently about their stretch marks. #LoveYourLines encourages women to show off their marks using the hashtag, celebrate their imperfections and be proud of who they are.
Sports Illustrated model Robyn Lawley recently took to Facebook to show off her love for her "tiger stripes."
"We put an unbelievable amount of ridiculous time-consuming pressure on women to care so much about their flaws they forget how truly beautiful they (you) are today," she wrote in the post. "F**k them, who cares, be you, be loud, be proud. And put your efforts into skills that rely more on your physical self. And to anyone who feels bad about your body especially after a baby, you are a warrior, you created a life inside of you, that's no easy feat."
