Girl Group Mashes Up Two Famous Songs So Perfectly, It's Like They Were Meant To Be Together

Holy smokes.

When anyone dares to cover a Whitney Houston jam, particularly "I Wanna Dance With Somebody," it could go one of two ways: huge hit, or BIG miss.

So when we read that Little Mix decided to do a Whitney Houston and Jason Derulo mashup — at the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, nonetheless — we were skeptical.

And then we heard it.

The English girl group, featuring Jade, Jesy, Leigh-Anne, and Perrie, paired Derulo's hit "Want To Want Me" with Houston's classic "I Wanna Dance With Somebody," for an insanely incredible tune that hits every perfect note and combines the two separate choruses like they were never meant to be apart.

And it'll have you smiling, clapping, and/or dancing in front of your computer screen.

And what did Jason Derulo himself think of the performance?

He's into it.

In a radio interview with Shazam, Derulo's eyes widen as the song begins, and then he's nodding and dancing in approval as it continues.

"I was into that, man!" he tells the radio hosts. "Now I see why it's going viral."
