Half the fun of Spike's Lip Sync Battle is seeing how far the competing celebrities are willing to go to embody the artists whose voices they're mouthing along to. Some stars are more authentic than others, and last night former The Voice coach CeeLo Green was about as authentic as one can be while performing the KISS classic "Rock & Roll All Nite."
CeeLo was almost unrecognizable in the band's signature black-and-white face paint and platform shoes. Of course, when it comes to channeling KISS, the attitude is just as important as the costume, and CeeLo had that in spades, making sure to stick his tongue out in true Gene Simmons fashion.
As if all of that weren't enough, CeeLo put the cherry on top when he ended the performance with an epic guitar smash that shocked co-host Chrissy Teigen.
CeeLo's competitor, comedian Russell Peters, turned in an admirable performance of Bobby Brown's "Every Little Step," complete with Bobby's iconic hairstyle and '80s dance moves. But it was CeeLo who really stole the show. When it comes to Lip Sync Battle, it's go big or go home, and he definitely went big.
