Models Hit The Catwalk In An Unlikely Place To Show Off New Lingerie Line

This isn't your everyday runway show.

New York Fashion Week 2015 came to a close last week, but that doesn't mean models have stopped strutting their stuff — they've just hopped over the pond and are doing it in a different location: the London underground.

Models from Bluebella, a UK-based lingerie company, brought the brand's latest looks to the Tottenham Court Road Tube station to debut their spring and summer collection. The idea being that lingerie should give you confidence, even if it's on your daily commute.

Bluebella founder Emily Bendell told A+ in a statement that she wants her brand to help women feel fabulous and knew the underground catwalk would set the tone.

"Great lingerie gives you an inner confidence — even if you are jammed against other travellers on the morning commute," she said in the statement.

The brand has been making headlines recently and not just for their taste in locations. According to the release, the Bluebella team worked with "Fifty Shades of Gray" novelist E. L. James to create the official "Fifty Shades Of Gray" erotic lingerie line.

Hopefully next year, models who represent other types of women, not just the Anastasia Steeles, will be featured walking the catwalk "underground." But we're happy to see lingerie on the kinkier side come into the limelight, and be worn loud and proud.

"It was probably one of the most nerve-wracking catwalk shows I've ever done, but it was very exciting and created a real buzz," model Jennifer Anstead also said in the release. "I loved it."

Isn't that what it's all about?
