Lin-Manuel Miranda Wants You To See 'Hamilton' And Support Planned Parenthood At The Same Time

The perfect prize for the holidays.

Wish you could score tickets to Hamilton next year? Well, the show's creator Lin-Manuel Miranda will do you one better. You could win tickets to see the show in three different cities, all while supporting an important cause.

Miranda is hosting a giveaway on Prizeo to raise money for the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The grand prize winner will receive two tickets to see Hamilton in New York, Chicago, and San Francisco, as well as backstage tours, photos with the cast, and airfare and accommodations for every city. All it takes to enter is a $10 donation. However, if you give more, you could receive some pretty cool Hamilton swag, including items signed by Miranda himself.

This is a crucial time for Planned Parenthood, as the incoming Trump-Pence administration could pose a threat to women's reproductive rights, and to the organization's funding specifically. On a more personal note, Miranda's mother, Dr. Luz Towns-Miranda, happens to be on the national board of directors for the Planned Parenthood Action Fund. "You are making her look like the coolest board member ever, so thank you so much," he says in a video about the campaign.

"Already we are on track to break records for the amount we've raised," he tells fans. But there's still more time to donate and get those entries. Miranda also suggests giving Prizeo gift cards this holiday season. They allow the recipient to donate the given amount to any campaign they choose. That's one gift trend we can definitely get on board with.
