Lin-Manuel Miranda recently took over Disney Animation's Instagram.
As a co-writer of some of the music on the soundtrack to the upcoming film Moana, it was only fitting that he joined stars The Rock and Auli'i Cravalho for the quick music session.
The #Linstagram takeover was complete with some covers of Disney classics. But if you thought you knew your Disney, Miranda's takes were on another level.
"Aladdin" ... yes, please.
"Newsies" ... we'll gladly take it.
"Mulan" ... you know we need it.
We can't say no to "The Little Mermaid."
Some "Beauty and the Beast" with Gaston, err, The Rock? Umm, yes!
Miranda also spent some time with his childhood heroes, who inspired him to be a musician.
Disney released a new trailer for "Moana" Sunday, which is out on Thanksgiving.
And since Miranda co-wrote the soundtrack, he is now on a quest to join some elite company.
Having won multiple Tony Awards for Hamilton, a Grammy for the 2008 play In the Heights, and an Emmy for writing the Neil Patrick Harris-performed song "Bigger!" all Miranda needs now to complete the legendary EGOT is an Oscar.
Only 12 people have ever accomplished this feat in the entertainment industry, including Audrey Hepburn and Mel Brooks.
Sidebar, Miranda will be starring as Jack in the remake of Mary Poppins, called Mary Poppins Returns, with Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt. He said the music is already sounding great!
