Amanda Cooper Lickliter was at Indianapolis International Airport on Saturday when she noticed a very recognizable face come through the lobby: that of Lil Wayne, who apparently got off his private jet in order to pay respect to some military personnel who had just arrived.
According to Lickliter, Lil Wayne's Gulfstream G550 was scheduled to depart when soldiers arriving on a C-130 parked next to it began exiting their aircraft. "After they walked in front of the G-550, Lil Wayne apparently told his pilots he wanted off," Lickliter wrote. "They shut down their engines, and he and his boys got off their plane, came into the lobby, and shook every one of the service men's hands. There was no press and no one to show off for ... just a seemingly genuine act of respect."
Among those accompanying Wayne was Young Money President Mack Maine, shown on the left in the photo.
What an awesome way to show respect for our nation's military. Big ups to Weezy and his crew.
