Brandon Wallace worked as a Southern Baptist youth minister before leaving the position after he came out as gay in 2012. Since then, Wallace has learned to reconcile his deep faith with his sexual orientation. He has become a voice for LGBT Christians nationwide, even penning a book on his experiences.
A 2015 Pew Research study found that more Christians are accepting of homosexuality than ever before. And in recent years we have seen increased outreach between Christians and the LGBTQ community. GLAAD has a Religion, Faith & Values program and many Catholic congregations proudly welcome LGBTQ members.
