LGBT People Pose To Recreate Iconic Movie Posters And The Results Are Beautiful

"We're not as represented as we should be for being as big of a percentage of the population as we are."

With all the countless films throughout history, how many of them feature LGBT people on their timeless promotional posters?

You may be able to think of a few, but regardless, the answer is not enough.

"We're not as represented as we should be for being as big of a percentage of the population as we are," one woman says at the start of a recent BuzzFeed video

Men in the video explain that though there may be a "token" LGBT person in a film, "if you don't identify with that one token, it's like who can you identify with?"

So, BuzzFeed had each LGBT participant help to recreate iconic movie posters from films such as Clueless, The Fault in Our Stars,  and Superman Returns

With some costume changes, a couple props, and a photography team, each poster was recreated with stunning results.

And this one:

"I know for a fact that having actual bisexual people out in media would've made my coming out experience way easier," one man adds in the video.

That, among the many other reasons, calls to attention the need for some serious change.
