Animator Kevin Ulrich has been making short videos with Legos for years and sharing them on his YouTube channel, BrotherhoodWorkshop. So, when he got engaged to the love of his life, Celina Frenn, he knew he wanted to make her one.
The engagement gift he came up with recreates their love story in under two minutes. However, the short video actually took Ulrich 70 hours to make. Now that's love.
Their story begins at work, where the little Lego character playing Ulrich declares dating a co-worker is always a bad idea. Then, Frenn shows up as a new employee.
After getting to know each other a little, Ulrich has an idea.
"Do you think it's stupid to date co-workers?" he asks her.
"Most of the time, yeah."
"Do you want to do something stupid?"
And so they did.
Watch what happens in the video below:
"Best stupid decision, ever!"
"Obviously a 73-second video can't really sum up a two-year relationship," he told BuzzFeed. "But both myself and our friends and family feel it does a great job at painting a charming, cute little picture of what our love story looks and feels like."
