We've waited far too long to see Lady Gaga hop in the car with James Corden for Carpool Karaoke, but it finally happened Tuesday night.
James and Gaga sing through some of her biggest hits, as well as some new songs from her latest album Joanne. Things start off on a high note (several, in fact) with Gaga's recent single, "Perfect Illusion." Then they catch their breath with a discussion of the singer's recent Super Bowl news — she'll be performing at halftime next year.
They even do a little role-playing to recreate the moment Gaga got the invitation. She had some choice words.
Gaga also reveals that she just passed her driving test a few months ago. She says her family (whose history was the inspiration behind her latest album) came with her to the DMV. "My father cried when I got my driver's license," she recalls.
Obviously James has to let Gaga have a go behind the wheel. With the proper safety gear, of course.
The host eventually decides it's about time he got back in the driver's seat. After a discussion of Gaga's Michael Jackson memorabilia collection, an impromptu performance of O-Town's "Liquid Dreams," and the requisite "Poker Face" duet, they get on the topic of fashion.
