"Every young child should enjoy a gift from Santa." - Karen Civil

Karen Civil is always making big moves.

Whether she is chopping it up with Hilary Clinton for the #ImWithHer and "African Americans for Hillary" campaign...

Or releasing inspirational books to help people find themselves...

She's always on the grind to help bring awareness and positivity to people's lives.

This holiday season was no different, as Karen Civil and her Live Civil Initiative, along with Lil Wayne and Trukfit, teamed up to bring some special surprises to kids in Haiti.

500 special surprises!

That's right.

As part of the Live Civil Christmas Giveaway, 500 kids were given free Trukfit outfits for Christmas.

According to LivingCivil.com, Lil Wayne said of the event, "A lot of people tend to forget about those who are less fortunate during the holiday season, not many understand how receiving just one item could bring so much joy to a child's life..."

Karen Civil told APlus.com over email that this initiative has roots in her personal life.

"Being a Haitian american it's important to give back to my parents homeland, to help the less fortunate have the save opportunities and advances I was given as a child.. every young child should enjoy a gift from Santa," she said.

Not just any Santa though. Fellow Haitian-American and boxer Andre Berto surprised the kids dressed up in full Santa garb.

The surprises didn't end there.

With the help of Karen and her Live Civil initiative, their playground and school was remodeled and Scholastic Corporation donated 500 books, one for each child, helping to foster "literacy, education and fun."

Karen also did a special live reading of her new book.
