Watch J.R. Smith Make Half-Court Shot And Win $30,000 For Military Family

Nothing but net.

J.R. Smith is making headlines for the right reasons

The Cleveland Cavaliers' shooting guard started off his NBA preseason campaign by sinking a half-court shot in front of a thousand screaming fans at the Quicken Loans Arena.

The best part? By making the shot, Smith won $30,000 dollars for a military family. J.R. Swish, as many call him, reposted the video on his Instagram account with the caption: "#JustDoingWhatIDo #ForTheTroops30k."

After he swished the half-court shot, J.R. celebrated by playing an air guitar to the crowd. For those who attended the Cavs intra-squad scrimmage, they were rewarded with one impressive showing.

He has never been known for his off the court altruism, but maybe he should be. Well done, J.R. Swish.
