On Tuesday night, Jimmy Kimmel premiered his second annual (RED) show, which benefits Bono's AIDS charity of the same name. The special featured a Shopathon showing off products viewers could buy to raise money, and Kimmel's celebrity guests even announced they were auctioning off meetings with fans who donate to the cause. You could go to Las Vegas with Channing Tatum or ride a Jet Ski with DJ Khaled.
Of course, no telethon would be complete without an original song, which is why Kimmel assembled his famous friends to form the (RED) Pack and sing about why it's so important to do their part. Stars such as Kristen Bell, Neil Patrick Harris, and Julia Roberts joined Killers frontman Brandon Flowers on the piano. It may be for charity, but this is still Jimmy Kimmel Live!, so of course the lyrics had a sarcastic edge.
The song, presented as a holiday tune, is called "We're Going to Hell." The stars wax poetic about their wealthy lifestyles, adding one pretty significant caveat: "But if we don't help people with AIDS, we're going to hell." Whatever your own personal motivation is, you can donate and learn more about the fight against AIDS on the (RED) website.
