Jimmy Fallon's #SpringBroke Tweets Prove Not All Vacations Have To Be Perfect

Even when your car gets covered in Post-its.

Ah, Spring Break. Whether we're partying it up in college, taking a family road trip, or saving money with a staycation, things aren't always as magical as we may have planned. That's why Jimmy Fallon's latest hashtag, #SpringBroke, feels so relatable.

The Tonight Show host asked his Twitter followers to share their weirdest or funniest Spring Break stories, and he read some of his favorites on Thursday's show. Examples include fake ID fails, beer-soaked hotel towels, and a car covered in Post-it notes. But nothing beats "the mojitoid," a makeshift mojito using crushed Altoids instead of mint. Points for creativity.

As with so many things in life, from disastrous family holidays to failed New Year's resolutions, sometimes it's the thought that counts. And even though things may not always go according to plan, at least we can get a funny story out of it — one that might even catch the attention of a late-night talk show host. That makes it all worth it, right?
