Country Singer Breaks Down As She Hears Herself On The Radio For The First Time

That moment when you know that you've finally made it.

Canada-based singer/songwriter Jessica Mitchell recently captured the incredible moment when she realized her dream of becoming — and making a living as — a musician had actually come true. Mitchell, a country singer currently on tour with actor/singer Keifer Sutherland, filmed herself sitting in her car when her first single, "Workin' on Whiskey" played on Canadian country music station Country 104: her first time on radio.

Whenever anyone starts out on a creative journey as part of their vocation and calling, they do so with a huge amount of fear that is somehow carried by a tiny amount of faith. Whether you're posting videos of your songs on YouTube or accidentally busking with Seal, you're always hoping for that moment that will take you to the next phase, the next step. You almost never know how you're going to get there — and when people ask, you don't know how to tell them that — but you just know, somehow, that you're going to make it because you know, deep down in your heart, that you don't have any other choice.

Congratulations, Jessica. You've made it.
