This Pedal-Powered Roller Coaster Is So Cool, It's Scary

It's the ride of your life ... that might just make you fear for your life.

If you think American roller coasters are scary, just wait until you see this one in Japan.

Called the SkyCycle, this pedal-powered coaster is both the coolest and cruelest form of amusement at Brazilian Park Washuzan Highland in Okayama, Japan.

The attraction got a lot of press last year but has recently resurfaced on the internet thanks to a new video from Insider Travel

While it lacks the customary fast drops and sharp turns of most roller coasters, the SkyCycle's definitely not for the faint of heart.

With no guard rails, the only thing standing between its riders and the ground four stories below is ... a seatbelt.

Those daring enough to put the sky-high pedal to the metal are rewarded with amazing views ...

... as long as they don't look down.
