Playing with an Etch-A-Sketch when we were kids was always great because it was both fun and challenging to create an image that was actually decent. However, artist Jane Labowitch has no problem twisting those knobs into a masterpiece.

Labowitch, otherwise known as "Princess Etch-A-Sketch," uses the toy to recreate iconic works of art such as van Gogh's paintings and Auguste Rodin's sculptures. She can also design images of beloved pop culture characters and city skylines. The detail in each of her pieces is mesmerizing considering how difficult it was to draw a simple smiley face.

"It is important to take your time to make sure that you don't misjudge proportions," she told Adventures of Yoo. "I spent arguably as much time staring at the painting as I did rendering it on my Etch-A-Sketch."

Labowitch sells her work on Etsy and shares it on her Instagram. Check some of her pieces out below:

1. Georges Seurat's "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte"
