James Corden spends a lot of time driving around Los Angeles for his popular Carpool Karaoke segment, but this week on The Late Late Show, he got behind the wheel of a very different kind of car — and there definitely wasn't any singing involved.
It's all part of the Brit's effort to expand his American experience. "I've been living in America now for 18 months," he says. "But the whole time I've been here I've just been in Los Angeles, and I wanted to get to know real America, true America, who the real people are."
He has a lot of traveling to do if he wants to experience all the unique traditions America has to offer, but for now, he set his sights on the Tulare County Fair in California.
The first item on the agenda was milking a goat.
He also tried his hand at some carnival games, although he wasn't exactly a pro.
It was all leading up to his big debut as monster truck driver "Sweet Baby James."
"I don't know if you had the fastest time, but I think you definitely had the most fun," his instructor told him when it was over. And at the end of the day, that's all that really matters, isn't it?
