The winner for the sweetest acceptance speech during this award season goes to Jacob Tremblay from the movie Room. The adorable 9-year-old won the award for Best Young Actor at the 2016 Critics Choice Awards.
"Woah. This is super cool," Tremblay said during his acceptance speech. "This is the best day of my life."
While Tremblay stood on a box to give him some extra height, he still couldn't reach the microphone.
The award presenter helped by holding the microphone to Tremblay’s face.
"I first want to say 'thank you' to all of the critics who voted for me," he said. "It must be a super hard vote because of all of the other great actors in this category."
Tremblay thanked his parents and said he loved them. He also thanked the film's cast and crew.
"I also want to thank team Room who is Lenny, Emma, Bri, Ed and all of the other producers over there."
The audience cheered, clearly endeared.
"And I know where to put this," Tremblay said about the trophy. "Right on the shelf right beside my Millennium Falcon."
A few days before the Critics Choice Awards, Tremblay appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and spoke about how much fun he has at award shows.
