This Tattooed Dad Talks To Son About Bullying And Self-Acceptance In Facebook Video

He turned a negative experience into a teaching moment.

Gilbert, Arizona dad Isaac Irvine is showing the Internet what parenting done right looks like.

In a recent video posted to Facebook that's gone viral, the bearded and tattooed father talks to his 9-year-old son Bodi about bullying and the importance of self-acceptance.

Bodi has long blonde hair, which he is growing out to donate to someone suffering hair loss, whether due to alopecia, cancer, or some other condition.

Unfortunately, some kids at his school bully him, saying he "looks like a girl."

That's when the senior Irvine decided to make a Facebook video talking to his son about bullying and self-acceptance, revealing that even as a grown man, he too, sometimes hears some not-so-nice comments from people because of his tattoos.

In an interview with 3TV News, Mr. Irvine described how his outlook on life is reflected in the video. "We're all just trying to be the best we can; the best version of ourselves we can be, right?"

The brief exchange is really heartwarming. Take a look at how Mr. Irvine approaches bullying with his son.

Great job, Mr. Irvine.
