#IfIWereABoy Asks Women What They Would Do Differently If They Were Men
Straight to the point!
Ever thought that being a man is so much easier? Much less struggle and oppression, much more rights and power. Sure, we are not going to find a magic genie to put us in the man"s shoes. But we can put ourselves in their minds and that"s exactly what twelve Elite Daily employees did.
They wrote: "When we"re young, we"re told that boys and girls all have the same fair shot to get what they want out of life. <...> When we are little, we aren't jaded enough to believe we can"t aspire to be anything we set our sights on. But then... we grow up."
To fight this stigma, powerful females from Elite Day started a hashtag campaign #IfIWereABoy, asking women to share thoughts on what they would do differently if they were men. All answers were touching, inspiring and deeply ecumenical. Whether it"s about not making degrading comments on social media, or putting the toilet seat down, these thoughts speak to women all around the world.
