Box office-topping hit "Mockingjay -- Part 1" was all about fighting back the flood of damaging misinformation, and now it seems that the stars of the dystopian saga have taken a cue from their characters.
Actors Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Julianne Moore joined their costars in a PSA setting the record straight about the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.
In the video, created by the Ebola Survival Fund, they explain that the countries most affected are lacking the quantity of supplies and medical professionals necessary to save people's lives -- but that we can help.
"Ebola has not yet come into contact with modern medicine in West Africa," the charity cites Partners In Health co-founder Dr. Paul Farmer as saying. "But when protocols for the provision of high quality 'supportive care' are followed, the case fatality rate for Ebola may be lower than 20 percent."
Which makes an incredible difference.
