Hillary Clinton Gets Cheeky, Sends GOP Rivals A Copy Of Her Memoir

She's on a tear with her public image.

Hillary Clinton's team is obviously quite a sharp one, because whenever others in politics question the Democratic front-runner's résumé, she does a pretty good job of firing back in an appropriate way. The latest and possibly most clever example is Clinton's gag gift of her memoir to GOP candidates in response to their criticism over her record as secretary of state.

Speaking at a rally in Iowa, she joked, "I'm trying to be a good fellow candidate and give them some help." Each current GOP candidate (except Jim Gilmore, according to Politico) got a copy of her 2014 memoir Hard Choices and a personalized letter to go along with it. She also mentioned that there are so many of them that "they could have a book club."

Naturally, it didn't take long for the note to spread around Twitter. It read:

"I understand that you and your fellow Republican candidates for president were questioning my record of accomplishments at your last debate, so I thought you might enjoy reading my book, Hard Choices. From working to restore America's standing in the world to bringing crippling sanctions to Iran to negotiating a ceasefire in Gaza, please enjoy all 596 pages of my time as secretary of state.

With best wishes, I am sincerely yours,
Hillary Rodham Clinton."

So whether it's appearing as a barkeep on SNL, taking her jokes to Instagram or publishing a campaign playlist on Spotify, Clinton's team knows exactly how to make the presidential hopeful look in-touch and smart in comparison to her GOP counterparts. Good on you, Team Clinton. Good on you.
