This Photo Puts Into Perspective How Strong Moms Have To Be

Moms are incredible.

We've all seen tons of photos of newborn babies in their parent's arms or cozily swaddled while asleep. Parents are so incredibly overjoyed, they love sharing photos of the precious new addition to their family.

You've probably never seen a newborn photo like the one professional photographer Helen Aller took recently, though.

No matter how proud and genuinely excited an expectant mom can be about it, giving birth is pretty damn scary. There are a number of childbirth complications that can arise and Caesarian sections can be necessary. During a pregnancy photo shoot, one mom confided in Aller, sharing her concerns about the possibility of a C-section.

"I photographed this mama's pregnancy a while back and she was telling me how terrified she was of having a c-section," Aller wrote on Facebook. "Well last week she went into labor but had to have an emergency c-section after complications. She asked me to come over this morning and shoot this particular image as her worst nightmare proved to be what saved her and her child's lives."

EDIT: I didn't expect this image to reach so far. I understand everyone has their own opinion which they are entitled...

This photo is so powerful because it shows just how strong moms are willing to be for us from the very beginning.

That mom had to face one of her biggest fears for her newborn baby. Giving birth can be scary, painful and difficult, but mothers are tough enough to deal with them.

The photo has been shared on Facebook more than 62,000 times and "liked" more than 220,000 times. Someone also reported the image, but Facebook did not take it down.

Update: Facebook later did remove the photo, but Aller decided to repost it.
