Oscar-winning actress Anne Hathaway just did something that even she admits was "a little out of character" when she posted an Instagram photograph. In the picture, she is standing on a beach and wearing a red bikini. However, it's what's she's doing in the photograph that has everyone talking.
Hathaway is holding her baby bump, as she is expecting her first child.
"I was at the beach I noticed I was being photographed," Hathaway wrote on Instagram. "I figure if this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should at least be an image that makes me happy (and be one that was taken with my consent. And with a filter :)"
Here is that viral photo that everyone is talking about:
Rumors of Hathaway's pregnancy first circulated in November when an unnamed source told PEOPLE the 33-year-old actress was in her second trimester, still active and seemed very happy.
When Hathaway first married her husband, Adam Shulman, in 2012, she spoke about the possibilities of becoming a mother someday.
"I've wanted to be a mom since I was 16," Hathaway said to the Telegraph. "I'm 30 and I want to have a family of a certain size.' What size? 'Look, I'll start with one healthy kid but I'd like to have a few naturally and adopt. I gotta get on it, you know? I'd like to have as many as I can afford, not just financially but in terms of time, because you want to make sure each one feels special. I've had one goal in mind for the past 12 years, which is: get a movie, get a movie, get a movie. Now I might have to say: get a baby, get a baby, get a baby."
