6 Precious Villages In England That Seem To Be Straight Out Of A Fairytale

Some of our favorite movies were filmed in these places, too.

From London to New York, Paris to Tokyo, busy cities attract tons of tourists — and understandably so. But in a recent Harper's Bazaar video, the publication shared six stunning villages in England with a much, much slower pace, and they may just be what you need for a little R&R.

For example, the video features Upper and Lower Slaughter in Cotswolds, two villages connected via a river.

"Lower Slaughter is also home to the most romantic street in Britain, Copse Road," the video notes

There's also Lacock, Wiltshirefilled with lush greenery and quaint cottages. It also just so happens to be where the Harry Potter movies were shot, as well as Pride and Prejudice and Downton Abbey.

"Arrive in Lacock village and you could be forgiven for thinking you've just entered the scene of a recent wizard battle or turned up to meet Mr Darcy for a dance at the assembly rooms," the National Trust's website explains

Be sure to check out all six villages below and get ready to plan your next adventure.

1. Upper and Lower Slaughter, Cotswolds

2. Lacock, Wiltshire

3. Godalming, Surrey

4. Malpas, Cheshire

5. Helmsley, Yorkshire

6. Chipping Campden, Cotswolds
