This Guy Has Drawn An Illustration For His Girlfriend Every Day For 5 Years

"I think people follow us because our illustrations are a really honest and candid look at relationships and daily life."

Ever since a guy named Pete started dating a woman named Kellie five years ago, he's been creating fun comics to share with her. Each illustration is inspired by a conversation they've had or an experience they've shared — small or monumental —  and are an intimate look at what it's like to be in a longterm relationship.

"Now we also have a daughter, Poppy, and the illustrations have become a visual diary of everything, from us deciding to try for a baby, to the tough pregnancy, right through to her being the amazing toddler she is now," Pete Duffield wrote in a post on Bored Panda. He's used his passion as a creative way to keep track of their memories together.

While Pete makes one of these drawings daily, he also finds ways to make them extra special for his partner. He designs cards for each special event the two share and the illustrator and designer, who is based in Brighton, England, even compiled the illustrations into a hardcover book for Kellie for her birthday

Pete shares his daily drawings on his Instagram where he's grown his following to over 15,000 since he started the account last year.

"I think people follow us because our illustrations are a really honest and candid look at relationships and daily life. The situations we show are very relatable and sometimes the kind of things people don't readily discuss," Pete wrote. "I think the followers also enjoy the combination of very sweet, tender moments interspersed with silly, crude humor."
