Groom Offers A Second Set Of Vows To His New Stepdaughter, Leaving No Dry Eye In The House

"I vow to protect you, care for you, and love you ‘so big’ forever."

Groom Mike Seldon had a second set of vows to deliver before his Oct. 28 wedding could be complete.

In a photo posted to Instagram, Seldon kneels down to address 5-year-old Heidi — the daughter of his bride Brittany Williams, and his new stepdaughter.  "I don't think there was a dry eye in the house," the caption on the photo reads.

According to The Huffington Post, Seldon has known Heidi since she was 14 months old, and at the Laguna Beach, California wedding he vowed he would "always be fair and honest" with her.

"I promise to support you in every way I can. I promise to always hold your hand and brush your hair when you ask me to. I promise to tuck you into bed every night. I vow to show you how a man should treat a woman through my relationship with your mom."

"And above all else, I vow to protect you, care for you, and love you ‘so big’ forever."

The bride told HuffPost: "It's pretty special finding someone that loves you unconditionally, but to come as a package deal with a little one and have a man make a commitment to love her unconditionally as well is an absolute blessing." She added, "Though we have had our share of bumps in the road ― there's no instruction manual for this stuff! ― it's been a beautiful journey because we've all been patient, open and honest with each other. And most of all, just had fun."

Williams also shared her own video from her special day on Instagram, which shows Heidi, dressed in white, jumping up and down, as the newlyweds meet applause from the rest of the guests.

We're sure this is one day that this new family will never forget.
