These Grandparents Are #RelationshipGoals And It Only Takes One Photo To Prove It

"Yeah, I literally cried."

Despite all the celebrity breakups that have dominated our Facebook feeds in the past year, we have some great news. True love still exists and we have proof.

Self-proclaimed "professional Netflix watcher" Amy Pennington posted two heartwarming photos on Twitter of her grandparents taking a mirror selfie with an iPhone. If you're already "awwing" because your grandparents have never used an iPhone nor taken a selfie by themselves, we'll let you take a moment to compose yourself — because it gets so much better.

In the photos, we see that Pennington's grandfather is doing his wife's hair, and with a smile on his face.

"My grandma had surgery on her wrist and couldn't do her own hair so my grandpa did it for her," Pennington wrote in the tweet. "Cuteness overload."

Since the tweet was first posted earlier this week, it has been retweeted over 100,000 times and has been favorited by more than 200,000 users.

Fellow Twitter users shared their delight:

Pennington's grandparents are just a few of the old married couples that have reminded us what happily ever after looks like. Let's not forget the adorable couple who recreated their wedding photos 63 years later or the grandparents that still dress in matching outfits after 52 years of marriage
