A Bride Asked Her 95-Year-Old Grandma To Be The Flower Girl At Her Wedding. She Said Yes, Of Course.

It's never too late to be a flower girl.

Helen Catherine Kavanagh walked down the aisle at her granddaughter's wedding, but not to find her seat.

The bride asked the soon-to-be 95-year-old to be her flower girl, a role Kavanagh was surprised, but happy to take. "When she asked me, I just laughed," she told MLive. "But then she said "No, grandma, I"m not. I want you to be my flower girl."

The wedding took place August 30, and as the pictures below prove, grandma made one incredible flower girl. And wedding photographer Mallory Chrisman agrees. She told A+ in an email that everyone loved watching her float down the aisle.

"This was the first time I have seen, heard, and photographed this idea," she said. "I loved it!"
