It's been more than two months since Grace VanderWaal and her ukulele first auditioned for America's Got Talent. The 12-year-old's distinctive voice and honest song lyrics earned the Golden Buzzer from judge Howie Mandel. On Tuesday night, we finally got to watch her perform in the live shows and it was well worth the wait.

Last time she was on the show, Grace said that most of her friends didn't even know she sang. Now she has not only her family and community cheering her on, but also the country. Even when she wasn't performing on TV, Grace was still charming us with YouTube covers of classic songs.

Before her latest performance, Grace said that singing gives her "the best feeling." She went on to share that amazing feeling with the rest of us by performing another original song, this one about her older sister, whom she calls her "best friend."

The song's lyrics describe her sister's support: "You say, 'Don't you cry / It's all gonna be all right.' "

After the performance, judge Simon Cowell highlighted the beauty in Grace's imperfections: "Some of the stuff you were playing, maybe the notes were wrong, the voice was a little bit croaky at times. But that is what makes you perfect."

Howie, meanwhile, called her "the best thing I've ever seen on this show."
