We've seen fans on Twitter urge Disney to give Elsa from Frozen a girlfriend in the sequel, and now Marvel fans are campaigning to give Captain America a boyfriend.
Although Captain America's alter ego Steve Rogers dated two women in his movies, Peggy Carter and her niece Sharon Carter, that didn't stop student Jess Salerno from launching the #GiveCaptainAmericaABoyfriend hashtag on Twitter.
"I feel like it sucks that people in the LGBT community don't get the representation that they deserve and it would be so amazing for something like Captain America or Marvel to be able to portray that," Salerno told Metro News. "Maybe just let people know that it's okay to be who you are, you know? You don't have to be scared, especially to be able to have children grow up in that way, I feel like it would do amazing things for the future."
While the comic books are full of LGBT characters, none of them have made their way onto the big screen yet. However, Captain America: Civil War directors Anthony and Joe Russo recently said "the chances are strong" that Marvel movies might introduce LGBT characters in the future.
Here are 15 tweets that prove that people are more than ready for Captain America to have a boyfriend:
