Here's Why A Giant Penis Is Spraying Confetti On Random People

Not dicking around here.

You're sitting on a beach or in a café, when all of a sudden a giant penis sprays confetti on you. While you may think that this is just a prank, it turns out that this was actually a PSA in Norway to promote safe sex.

"Sex should be fun, exciting and a little naughty," a spokesperson for the PSA told The Mirror. "We wanted the campaign to reflect that."

The creative PSA was geared towards young people to combat the rise of STDs in Norway.

Sex education is also extremely important in the U.S. Here are 15 reasons why sex education for teens needs to be a major priority, otherwise we will look as silly as the guy in the giant penis costume:

1. Teens will be teens. Some have sex no matter what. They need the guidance.

2. Teen pregnancy costs the U.S. between $9.4 and $28 million a year (that's a lot of diapers).

3. Sex education gives students the facts on being safe and healthy as a teen … and as an adult.

4. U.S. teen pregnancies are down 51 percent since 1990. Thank you, sex education.

5. It’s very awkward for teens to talk to their parents about sex … and vica versa. Sex education in school gets the facts out with less awkwardness.

6. Sex education is credited for the 60 percent teen pregnancy decline in California.

7. Despite the nationwide decline, the U.S. is still lagging behind other developed nations with a higher teen pregnancy rate.

8. Because of the Internet and porn, teens are getting the wrong idea about what sex really is. They are forming harmful sex myths that must be corrected.

9. States with abstinence-only education have the highest teen pregnancy rates. This is not a coincidence.

10. According to a 2011 survey, 46 percent of high school students in Texas, an abstinence-only state, did not use a condom the last time they were sexually active. Love without the glove is dangerous.

11. Teens have many changes going on with their bodies. They need the facts.

12.  Despite the pregnancy decline, teen girls of color are still more likely to get pregnant than white teen girls.

13. It’s vital to teach teens about the legalities of sex, including the age of consent and sexting.

14.  Doctors in India blame poor sex education for a recent STD teen increase.

15. Sex education curriculum covers so many important topics beyond “traditional sex.”
