'Game Of Thrones' Just Celebrated Same-Sex Marriage In The Best Way.

We finally have marriage equality in America. Westeros is next!

Since the news broke this morning that the U.S. Supreme Court has finally legalized same-sex marriage nationwide, people have been sharing celebratory messages all over social media. This great victory for equality is so popular, it's even reached fictional societies: on behalf of Renly Baratheon, Game of Thrones tweeted its support for gay marriage. The adorable tribute to Westeros' own gay king (who had to remain closeted due to political and religious pressures) comes in the form of a Renly doll, complete with trademark stag horn crown, standing in front of a rainbow banner. The picture is also a reminder that we can now leave inequality for LGBT people back in the middle ages, where it belongs.

This is not the first time that Renly (and the people behind Game of Thrones' social media accounts) have shared their support for marriage equality. On March 26, 2013, on Marriage Equality Day, Game of Thrones tweeted and Instagrammed about the holiday. The message read, "Lord Renly wishes Happy#MarriageEquality Day to all in the realm," and included a picture of the same Renly doll in front of a red-and-white Human Rights Campaign equality banner.

But Game of Thrones is also not the only show featuring LGBT characters to share its joy today. Check out all these cute tweets:
