In A Galentine's Day Miracle, The Women Of 'Parks And Recreation' Reunited

"These women keep me alive."

Fans of the NBC comedy series Parks and Recreation got a Galentine's Day treat on Tuesday when four women from the cast reunited for the holiday on Instagram. In the words of Leslie Knope, it was "ladies celebrating ladies."

For those who don't know, Galentine's Day is a holiday invented by Amy Poehler's iconic character as a celebration of female friendship on the day before Valentine's Day. It's now become an annual tradition for many of the show's fans, who get together to celebrate with the women in their lives.

This year, the ladies of Parks and Recreation got in on the fun in real life. Aubrey Plaza, who played April Ludgate on the series, posted an Instagram photo of herself with Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones (who played Ann Perkins), and Kathryn Hahn (who played Jennifer Barkley). We only wish Retta was there to bring a little Donna "Treat Yo Self" Meagle to the party.

Although we can't say whether there were any frittatas (or waffles) involved, Plaza did write a pretty lovely caption to accompany the snap: "happy happy galentine's day. these women keep me alive." Jones later posted the same photo to her own account, writing, "Galentine's Day! Forever and ever."

It's not the first time the Parks and Recreation cast has gotten together since the show ended in 2015. Last year, Poehler, Chris Pratt, and Retta supported Plaza at the premiere of her film Ingrid Goes West. Before that, Poehler, Jones, and Rob Lowe got together for the Fourth of July.

It might be a little soon for a more official cast reunion, but Plaza told Us Weekly of the possibility last year, "I hope so! I feel that would for sure happen at some point."

Until then, we'll savor this latest get-together as a Galentine's Day miracle.
