Every other week it seems like there's a new hair color craze taking over Instagram. From opal to tie-dye to peacock, and the fun colored hair trend doesn't seem like it will be slowing down anytime soon.
Even if it's not your thing, it's awesome to see people experimenting with their style, and finding inspiration in all kinds of places.
The latest hair color style blowing up has taken inspiration from yet another unexpected place: the star-studded cosmos.
Yup, the hair dye ladies are washing out lately is made to look like the galaxy.
They're posting photos of side-by-side comparisons to show the star cluster their new look is trying to emulate.
To achieve this look, you're going to need three to five hours on your hands. First, your hair has to be lightened using bleach. Then, tons of multi-tonal hair color in a variety of shades is added.
The hours it takes to first dye your hair is only the beginning, though. You're going to have to do quite a bit of maintenance to keep this style looking its best.
"Visiting the salon every few weeks to re-gloss any areas that may have faded from the hair [is required]," Cassandra Cuccia, colorist at the Marie Robinson Salon, told Mashable. "It's also important to be gentle and use minimal heat after this process is done because the hair will be sensitized from all of the lightening."
If this sound daunting, fear not. There's bound to be a new trend soon.
