Couple Perfectly Recreates A Photograph They Took On Their First Date 20 Years Ago
Long live LOVE.
With the overwhelming popularity of speed dating, blind dates and Tinder romance, it can be hard to "go the distance," or even get a second date. That's why we find this story so charming and inspiring.
Reddit user twilling8 shared this beautiful pair of photos that perfectly capture the time-tested power of love.
The first photo was taken 20 years ago, when twilling8 and his partner (pardner?) went on their first date in Niagara Falls.
"We live near Toronto. We went to Niagara Falls for the day. We did stupid stuff like wax museums and haunted houses and olde west photos. We saw a live play and had dinner at a fancy restaurant. I ordered her her first glass of wine because I was of age and she wasn't. I had her home by curfew. We had a very brief kiss on her doorstep and I said 'goodnight, I can't wait to see you again'," twilling8 writes in his Reddit post.
Obviously, it wasn't just a fun day at the Falls. It was the first day of the rest of their lives together.
Exactly two decades later, the couple decided to relive the first memory they made together. Only this time with two more models in place.
It's amazing how these two quirky photographs can tell the story of a beautiful, healthy and fully-fledged romantic relationship that started in a frontier-inspired photo studio. We just hope they post another one after the next 20 years have passed.
