Thursday night's episode of ABC's Greatest Hits was all about the years 2000-2005. No tribute to that time period would be complete without a Destiny's Child medley. Luckily, Fifth Harmony was on hand to deliver a pretty fierce one.
Prior to the performance, the ladies called Destiny's Child one of their "biggest inspirations," so it's only fitting that they should be the ones to channel Beyoncé, Kelly and Michelle for a new generation.
"Destiny's Child was so female-empowering," said group member Ally Brooke. "You kind of listen to all the lyrics and you're like, 'Yes!' And you feel good when you listen to them. You're singing the lyrics and you're like, 'You're right, yes. I'm gonna be confident. I'm gonna survive.'"
The group donned some 2000s-era clothes and accessories (Who remembers tattoo chokers?) and took to the stage to perform "Say My Name," "Independent Women" and "Survivor," with a little "Bootylicious" thrown in, because how could they not?
Go ahead and try not to dance along — we dare you.
Given that this week the United States nominated its first woman to a major party's presidential ticket, we'd say this was pretty good timing. Hillary Clinton should be throwing her hands up.
